Komodo dragon (varanus komodoensis) is a species of lizard that only inhabits the islands of Komodo, Rinca, Flores and Gili Motang of Indonesia. They are member of the monitor lizard family (varanidae) and only the largest living species of lizard grow to an average of lenght from 2 - 3 meters (6.6 to 9.8 feet). Komodo National Park is covering the three major islands include Komodo, Rinca, Gili Motang and Padar, and numerous smaller islands together totaling 603 km2 of land.  The total size of Komodo National Park is presently 1,817 km2.  Proposed extensions of 25 km2 of land (Banta Island) and 479 km2 of marine waters would bring the total surface area up to 2,321 km2

 
I T I N E R A R Y

 

Day 01 : Kupang (Timor Island)
Upon arrival in Eltari airport of Kupang in West Timor, direct transfer to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 02 : Kupang - Soe
After breakfast at the hotel, depart for an excursion visit Kupang Museum, Lasiana Beach to see the demostration palm sugar making, proceed to Oebelo, see locals make up the Sasando traditional music. Drive to Soe through a magnificent view of Timor island. Arrive in Soe, transfer to hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day 03 : Soe - Kefamenanu
After breakfast at the hotel, a morning visit to Buat National park and Oehala waterfall. Enjoy the refreshment among the beautiful tropical nature of west Timor. After lunch drive to Kefamenanu with stop at Niki-Niki to see the old place of King Nope and his royal tombs. Afternoon arrive in Kefamenanu and check in at your hotel.

Day 04 : Kefamenanu - Kupang
After breakfast, a morning visit Maslete traditional village and Oelolok to see the place of King Taolin. After lunch drive to Kupang. Late afternoon arrive in Kupang and check in at your hotel

Day 05 : Kupang - Maumere
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight departure to Maumere in Flores Island. Upon arrival at Waioti airport of Maumere, transfer to your hotel. Afternoon city sightseeing will be made afterward. Dinner and Overnight at Sea World Club / Pelita Hotel or similar

Day 06 : Maumere - Moni or Detusoko

After breakfast at hotel, drive to Moni through a scenic area of Paga, Wolowaru and Jopu Ranggase. Lunch will be served at local restaurant in Wolowaru. Then proceed to Moni to check in at Flores Sare Inn or at Wisma St. Fransiskus Saverius. Dinner and overnight at Hotel.

Day 07 : Moni - Kelimutu - Ende - Riung

Early morning drive up to Kelimutu, see the three colored lakes. Upon arrival. walk 1,5km to view the spectacular of the Hard Red, light blue and black color of the Kelimutu lake. Down to Moni, proceed to Riung with stop at Ende for lunch. Enroute enjoy the spectacular views of this hilly island. Stop in Nangapanda to see local people collecting blue store from the hill and beach for an export items. Late afternoon drive to Riung via southern part of the island while enjoying the spectacular picturesque area   Dinner and overnight at PONDOK SVD or similar

Day 08 : Riung

Breakfast at the Pondok SVD, depart aboard the simple wooden boat for the islands in the area of Pulau Tujuh Belas, exploring the ecosystem and beautiful beach. Snorkel through colorful coral and reef. Lunch box provided. Late afternoon transfer to the mainland of Riung and proceed to Bajawa. Dinner and overnight stay at Bintang Wisata / Silverin Hotel or similar

Day 09 : Bajawa - Bena - Ruteng

After breakfast at hotel, excursion to Bena passing through huge and gigantic bamboo plantation, picture Inerie volcano and take short walks in the vicinity. Arrive in Bena, see traditional houses and megalithic tombs, learn the meaning of Ngadhu and Bhaga, symbolizing male and female of ancestral spirits. Continue the trip with en-route viewing the beauty of Mount Inerie, then Ranames Lake. The process of making palm wine could be seen at Airmere. Lunch en-route. Dinner and overnight at Wisma Dahlia / Wisma Susteran or Similar hotel in Ruteng.

Day 10 :  Ruteng - Labuan Bajo

After an early breakfast, depart for a halfday trek to Mount Ranaka. During the active condition, instead of trekking we will replace the program with visiting local market, Ruteng Pu traditional village, then Cancar and Lembor irrigation area. Lunch en-route. Arrive at Labuan Bajo, direct to New Bajo Beach Hotel or similar for your dinner and accommodation. Afternoon visit Cermin cave and bukit Pramuka for the sunset.

Day 11 : Labuan Bajo - Komodo
Very early in the morning we boating to Komodo island, the boating time will be about 4 hours. Upon arrival start the exploration of the island by half an hour walk to Banunggulung to see the Komodo dragon, the largest monitor lizards in the world, in their natural habitat. The island is also home to the mound-building megapode bird, the sulfur-crested cockatoo, the noisy friar bird and tropical flora. Return to the Labuan Bajo with lunch on board. Stop at Pink Beach relax, swim, snorkel. Late afternoon arrive in Labuan Bajo. Dinner and stay overnight at the hotel

Day 12 : Labuan Bajo - Lombok via Denpasar 

After breakfast, a short excursion will be made before transfer to the airport by visiting Miror cave. Upon arrival in Mataram of Lombok island, meet and greeting service, then drive down to Teluk Nara seaport to catch a private outrigger boat to Gili Meno. Stay over night at Gazebo Hotel

Day 13 : Gili Meno

Breakfast at hotel. All day free at leisure or enjoy snorkeling at the beach of Gili Meno. All meals provided at the hotel..

Day 14 : Lombok - Fly to next Destination
